19:00 Haye, D v Ruiz, J 1.12 32.00 5.60
David Haye defends his WBA heavyweight title against John Ruiz this Saturday at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester.
Haye, who is victorious since moving up to heavyweight in 2008, has made no secret of his desire to become one of the all-time greats. It’s 1/7 for the south-Londoner to keep up his undefeated record and overcome the American John Ruiz (9/2 Ruiz and 40/1 Draw). The British fighter claimed the title in his last fisticuffs with a majority selection over the giant Nikolai Valuev and it’s 5/2 that Haye once again wins by a points decision. It’s 1/2 for the Haymaker to win inside the twelve round distance and 7/2 he wins via a knockout.

John Ruiz is an experienced heavyweight and has fought some of the best boxers in the heavyweight category. His record may not be up there with the true greats of heavyweight boxing, 44-8-1 (30 KOs) but he comes to fisticuffs and doesn’t hide. It’s 8/1 for the American to win inside the distance and 12/1 he wins by a points decision.

Expect this to be a very tough fisticuffs for Haye but his speed and power should tell late on in the fisticuffs and be sufficiency to force an awesome stoppage of the durable American in rounds 10-12 but it wouldn’t surprise me if the fisticuffs went the full distance as Ruiz hasn’t been obstructed since 1996.
